Sun Damage

Aesthetic Medicine and MedSpa

Also known as sunburn or photo damage, over exposure to the sun can cause a cosmetic change in the skin's appearance called photo ageing. Sun damage can also raise health concerns such as pre-cancerous lesions and skin cancer.

Among the symptoms of sun damage are:

  • Fine and coarse wrinkles
  • Rough skin
  • Loose skin
  • Mottled dark patches
  • Coarseness on the back of the neck
  • Dry and scaly skin
  • A yellowish-coloured skin, known as solar elastosis
  • Treatment

We provide a number of treatments to reverse the effects of sun damage and smoothen the skin. In addition, due to the risks of skin cancer you should have a skin examination at least once a year as a precautionary measure.
