Also known as sunburn or photo damage, over exposure to the sun can cause a cosmetic change in the skin's appearance called photo ageing. Sun damage can also raise health concerns such as pre-cancerous lesions and skin cancer.
Among the symptoms of sun damage are:
- Fine and coarse wrinkles
- Rough skin
- Loose skin
- Mottled dark patches
- Coarseness on the back of the neck
- Dry and scaly skin
- A yellowish-coloured skin, known as solar elastosis
- Treatment
We provide a number of treatments to reverse the effects of sun damage and smoothen the skin. In addition, due to the risks of skin cancer you should have a skin examination at least once a year as a precautionary measure.
